What are the best beaches in Salou?

Sitting on the sunny northeast coast of Spain, Salou is certainly not short of a beach or two. For a fun-filled family day out or a lively beach day with friends, it has to be the famous Playa Llevant - Salou’s main sandy stretch. With playgrounds for little ones and plenty of bars and restaurants for bigger ones, it’s easy to spend every day relaxing on this gorgeous beach. For something a little quieter, head to Capellans Beach, just north of Llevant Beach. This gently sloping stretch of sand is sheltered by the headlands so the waters tend to be calmer and shallower than its busier neighbour - perfect for families with young children. If you’re looking for a totally blissful beach day then check out some of the smaller coves around the headland or Cap de Salou. With minimal facilities and access mainly by car or coastal walk, these beaches are much quieter, relaxing and romantic. We recommend trying Cala els Crancs or Cala de la Font.

If you want to be slightly out of the resort centre, the Best Oasis Park is located just 250m from the quieter Capellans Beach and has a great range of on-site facilities including a large swimming pool, kids playground and a bar.
