  • Fish festival in Kefalos (August) - the annual fish festival held in Kefalos, a part of the greater Hippocratia festivities
  • The Honey Festival in Antimachia (August) - following the Feast of the Assumption, the festival involves handing out honey-based sweets to visitors and locals, plus dance performances from adults and children
  • International Day of Tourism (September) - celebrated in Kos in the village of Kefalos on 27th September with live music
  • Presentation of the Virgin celebration - on the 21st of November, the village of Kefalos celebrates the religious festival of the Presentation of the Virgin

    The Island stays pretty warm all year round but in the summer it reaches a particular high of over 20 degrees and regularly reaches into the 30's. Sun cream is necessary as you will definitely be going home with a golden tan! If you plan on visiting before the summer months you will still find it to be fairly warm, making off season Kos holidays a great choice for those who want to beat the summer rush.
