What are the best beaches in Costa Adeje?

Costa Adeje has three beautiful beaches to choose from. Playa Fanabe is the largest of the three, at nearly 1km in length, which is great for paddling in the shallow waters and has a range of seasonal activities on offer. Playa del Duque is Costa Adeje’s most popular beach, where you can relax on the golden sand and swim in the clear waters of the small bay. Playa la Pinta is the smallest beach, but is fantastic for families as it often features fun playing equipment in the water!

What's the food like in Costa Adeje?

You can’t go wrong with Canarian cuisine. In Tenerife you’ll find a tasty selection of meats, cheeses, vegetables and fresh fish on the menu. Make sure to try the local wrinkly, salty potatoes with mojo rojo or mojo verde, the famous Canarian sauces. The goats cheese is also a top treat for those who love cheese, or if you’re into your seafood then ask for churros de pescado, delicious fried fish that you eat with aioli.

The Thirsty Turtle does incredible lunches and is open or breakfast too, so you can fill up on goodness before enjoying your day in the sun. For a special dinner, head to Restaurante Donaire for an incredible dining experience and excellent service.

From El Duque's verdant promontories to the darkly soft sands of Fanabe, the beaches here are of course blue flag, and the perfect tonic for the surrounding nightlife. If you do manage to tear yourself away from the pristine waters, take time to travel to the highest mountain in Spain, Teide: snow-capped in winter, but offering spectacular views of the island all year round.
